• A family story

    15 October 2019

In 1951, Sébastien Bagnis discovered the Gulf of Saint-Tropez and fell under the spell of a small beach in the shade of the parasol pines. A few months later, he created Camping des Mûres, one of the first outdoor establishments in France, on this beach. It is the time of tent canvases.

Then, the caravan appears, it is then the height of luxury with its gas stove and refrigerator.
At the beginning of the 80s, the campsite was still evolving! Freedom is having your house on four wheels, with a motor, it’s the era of the motorhome. Today, mobile homes offer holidaymakers a new way to camp in comfortable mode.

In 65 years, the generations have succeeded one another and the campsite has evolved, but the story of Sébastien Bagnis continues…
